What's with all the camo gear on the sidelines among all the coaching personnel at NFL games?

I've been noticing this for the last couple of weeks. (Maybe it's gone on longer....)

there. (I can't vouch for how recently - or in what proportion - relating strictly to 'sideline apparel.') But in a larger context, camo apparel has been super popular, and seen all over the place, for - quite a long time.

I think it is National Guard related, but I might be misremembering or out of date...

In conjunction with that they do/did pregame "support the troops" bullshit and camo-NFL gear.

The target recruitment pool for the all-volunteer meat grinder and football fandom has a very big overlap.
