The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsMy love & I went to the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit today.
I loved it. If you're at all interested in art, I recommend it. It's not just still images, elements have been extracted from the paintings & animated, & it's all set to an engaging soundtrack, it's very impressive!

(118,837 posts)or multiple groups of people, got in our way you could just look on the ground. I was on a dopamine high for an hour or two afterwards. Love the little village of Van Gogh that they build up slowly with layers of "paint". Also the cherry blossoms floating everywhere should be a spa treatment. I felt like I was a dandelion seed blowing in the wind when that happened. I wonder if they used fractals to animate.

(14,594 posts)Gotta love Van Gogh!
But yeah, you're right. It isn't just images. The images bleed onto and off of walls, colors change, pictures evolve. You recognize the work, but it is ever changing. The colors are fabulous! And it is done to music, very well choreographed.
As art shows go, this was one of the absolute best. It really was.

(4,254 posts)It was great. This year I went to the Monet exhibit like Van Hough one. It also was in Toronto. Next on my list is the Klimt exhibit. I really like the lighted shows with music. It is a different experience.
