(16,846 posts)I guess Tramadol is better than Tylenol or Ibuprofen, though. Did you take all 3 at once? You might regret being without anymore pills. Oh well, enjoy until you fall asleep.

(16,846 posts)We need hobbies, I mean hobbies besides DU. Maybe we could do something productive. Oh well, I've done worse things with my time. At least we're not harming anyone else.

(20,250 posts)That's how it sounded. But, no. When I mingle with some people in person, in the flesh, I get adverse vibes and then try to not get entangled again. I'm different. A tad quirky. Some people don't know how to take me. I don't care to be 'loved' per se, just understood.
And tolerated. 😆

(20,250 posts)During a telemed w/ the primary care doc last year, I asked for a refill then opted out. Gonna tap him again soon. Used to be prescribed Hydrocodone and broke them in 1/2. A whole one way too much. I take one of these Tramadol when absolutely positively necessary. I started feeling mellow and remembered I ingested one earlier.
My mouth runneth over. Sorry.

(16,383 posts)I don't take it until I need it, usually around 3:00 p.m. and it's like the Tin Man and the oil can. I go from stiff and sore to limber and comfortable. I don't use very much in the summer unless the barometric pressure changes quickly. I don't notice any side-effects, although I'm sure it's a little sedating. IMO, it is so much better than hydrocodone.

(16,846 posts)People who don't want to know about other people's problems shouldn't ask questions on the internet. I'm glad that works for you, and I'm glad you have a good enough relationship with your doctor so that you can get the help you need. That's kind of unusual these days. Take care!

(20,250 posts)We have excellent communication.
We were in another health system. My husband was still alive and overheard a conversation I was having w/ the practice we had been using since 1995. The practice changed health systems and our docs splitsville. The new doc who came in wasn't taking new patients. Huh, whut?? So husband goes "Find another doctor!" And that's how we got this guy. A former neighbor would say, "It's beshert." Destiny or providential.
And you take care as well.
