Sacramento, CA.

I remember those below zero temps. I feel for you. Coldest I ever saw was -22 in an old farm house heated with a wood stove. I remember standing right next to the stove and still seeing my breath. The air sparkled that morning when I went out for wood, too. Beautiful.

Stay warm!

12 degrees warmer than yesterday at the same time. Still have not had a freeze in my area and I am worried about the insect population this summer, especially the fleas. I live right across from the river, so it has to go down to actual freezing before we get any frost here.

We live in the Mill Cove area of the river. We have lots of rivers and streams here, but the St. Johns' is the biggie, winds throughout the city. I love the egrets, herons, pelicans, Ospreys and dolphins we see on/by the river on our daily walks.
