Diary of a Mad Snow Shoveler
*****
December 8 - 6:00 PM
It started to snow.
The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven.
It looked like a Grandma Moses Print.
So romantic we felt like newlyweds again.
I love snow!

(1,575 posts)I grew up with winters where snow was too plentiful. I'm glad I moved away.

(460 posts)I grew up on a farm in central Wisconsin. The first time I saw this I thought that the person who wrote it must be nuts after reading the first paragraph. After reading the whole work, I realized that the author had lived through a real winter and hated the snow just as I do. Now living in Oklahoma, the one-week total of snow that we get is just enough to make me realize what a great idea it was to escape the Great White North. Others can enjoy my share of snowmobiling, ice fishing, and snow shoveling.

(7,952 posts)Spent 2 hours trying to get packed snow from around my car because the idiots that plowed my parking lot decided to stop in front of my car and block me in. Thanks guys. Tomorrow is supposed to be ice cold. I'm furious right now.
