If I get letters in the correct spaces, I then use words that fit those letters where they are

If you play a completely new set of 5 letters you identify or eliminate the maximum number possible.

But I usually don't. This time with so many letters guessed correctly in my first word, I only knew of a few words it could be so I broke with my usual strategy.
