Director Elizabeth Smith's documentary Cymbalist Petro tells the story of a young virtuoso musician Petro Skazkiv from the Carpathian village of Vorokhta, who comes to Kyiv in the winter of 2013 for the Revolution of Dignity to play barricades. On February 4, 2021, Petro Skaziv passed away.
The State Cinema announces the release of the film "Cymbalist Petro" online . In the winter of 2013, the talented cymbalist Petro Skazkiv came from the Carpathians to Kyiv for the Revolution of Dignity - to play on the barricades and communicate with the demonstrators. Clashes with security forces are becoming more severe and Peter has to replace cymbals with a helmet and body armor. When he returns home, he realizes that he cannot sit idly by and goes to play his music for people in the newly liberated cities.
