I was blown away by the Blade Runner soundtrack when that movie came out. It was just such an integral part of that movie's experience. The actual original soundtrack wasn't released until more than a decade later, and even then wasn't complete, though additional versions have been released since, legally and illegally. I actually bought the terrible Orchestral version of the soundtrack, not realising that's what it was. Such a disappointment!

It's weird the love that so many people now have for both the movie and the soundtrack. Back in 1982, it seems I was the only one who liked it.

But I was already a Vangelis fan for over a decade by that time and bought all the albums I could get my hands on.
