Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsAs I age, I am more appreciative of Hank Thoreau's advice: "Simplify, simplify."
After a few hours of weeding and mowing and brush clearing on a day with temps in the nineties, I now sincerely appreciate the luxury of a glass of cool clean water, a bench in the shade and a gentle breeze.
I have a dry place to sleep, plenty to eat, books to read, sunsets and moonrises to admire, birdsong for my alarm and a woman I have loved for over half a century.
Is there really anything more to want?
