1. Most of those I've considered ignoring end up banned or FFR'd

Flagged for review.

A few that I had a running feud with, I now get along with.

So I don't place anyone on ignore as the situation usually resolves itself one way or another.

Got lots of alerts from the Manny ‘Jack Russell Terrier’ Brigade. That crowd was out to get pro-Democratic DU’ers banned.

No sense in putting up with them, and not willing to take a risk of them deciding to come after me with their guns. Too many terrorists out there, and a few of them have likely infiltrated here.

As I said to one just today: "Once and incel, always an incel"

I think it is a great feature that doesn't hurt anyone's rights or feelings. I know lots of people feel the need to hear and be exposed to right wing views in order to fight them, but I live in a reddish area of a purple state and am exposed to it daily. I already get too much of it. I need DU to get propped up by others who hold most of the same views I do. But that is my reason for being here, and I know others have different reasons.

because I know I'll be annoyed and that there's no point in arguing. I rarely use Ignore, though, since I keep hoping for less stupid.

I just keep encountering DU contributors for whom mere "try mightily to ignore" status is insufficient---complete obliteration is called for. No apologies for this, by the way.

11. I was a lot more tolerant, before the 2016 campaign.

At which point, certain DU forums and groups turned into Wild West saloons, on any given day. Things are a lot more civil now, I'm pleased to say.
