2) You're showing too much concern. You must be a concern troll.
3) You know too much about Library Girl, Agent Mike and you have a low post count. You must be a zombie. Send him to MIRT!
4) You're linking to a right-wing source! (The Orlando Sentinel) You must be a freeper troll!
5) You said something positive about the NRA! He's a gun nut! Oh NOeeessss! Shoot him in the head!

(3,173 posts)Sorry, I can't think of a single thing positive to say about the NRA. Except that it's an anagram for RAN, ARN, NAR, and ANR. Is that good?

(10,558 posts)There are far too many threads discussing where to eat, where not to eat, with whom to kiss while eating: CHICKEN!
Now far be it for me to be the sensitive type here but why chicken, why not duck! Ducks are bad, ducks are meaner, ducks will turn your pond green, ducks vote republican!
On the plus side, ducks taste better, they have better fat content and did I mention they taste better? ' (OK, well it bears repeating).
No, do not let that duck go,. There are a thousand duck recipes out there....pick one!

(30,885 posts)They'll put something in the subject line that is a response to the post and then in the comments write "By the way, you need to add your link" and I always add it and thank them, because the people who simply post "Link?" almost suck as much as the people who post "Dupe" and then post a link to some other thread on DU.
Almost as much.

And the one that always made/makes me shake my head and think "douchebag" is...
"PLEASE DU THIS POLL!!!"
Ummmm....why?
"Because we have to show our support!!!"
Ummm...why?
For all the polls that have ever been "DU'd", has the world become a better, more peaceful and compassionate place?
Nothing but a time-waster, IMO.

(8,556 posts)What's the point of swamping a poll? The point of a poll is to see what people think, not to see who can best organize a response to it.

(54,094 posts)But it's misused in GD to the point of being trite. Like "Dyn-0-mite!" as an interjection of exuberance, it's long since been co-opted by the legions of smugdom.

(8,556 posts)Not that there's anything wrong with the people who say these things, just personal pet peeves I guess.
