(3,398 posts)and was glued to my phone, because that's how I made my living. (First cellphone was a Motorola Brick with 2 batteries, talk time less than 2 hours, with both batteries)..
I answered the phone 24 hours a day. I got a signed acceptance at 1:00 on the morning of Christmas day, because the husband (who had to sign the acceptance) was leaving for his job in Nevada in 6 hours. (we were in SLC Utah).
I first had plug in earphones for my Blackberry in about 1995-97 (really don;t remember when).
I drove a Subaru turbo with a manual trans, and COULD NOT hold a phone to my ear and drive, so I lost a lot of money until I got the hands-free devices.
I am retired, but will NEVER give up my bluetooth devices, EVER!

(16,334 posts)the old ones could be quite glitchy but I find they are far more reliable now, even the little cheapie ones.
My personal favorite is my disco party speaker. Bluetooth plus swirling lights plus microphone
