(19,372 posts)This shot was taken at the Quinceañera of a friend of our family. Just happened to be in the right spot when she released the dove. I framed an 8x10 and gave it to the family and it sits on their mantel. BTW, my daughter is on the right hand side in the white dress right at the dove's wingtip.
This is my favorite photo as it captures the power and athleticism of my daughter in her sport. I've taken dozens of shots of her throwing in over the years, but just happened to catch this one in her wind-up.

(26,117 posts)The way the subject and the dove are in sunlight, and everyone else is in the shade.
The photo of your daughter is amazing - how can she bend like that?
bluesbassman
(19,372 posts)Just in the right place at the right time. You relay can't "set up" a shot like that.
I don't know how my daughter does that, didn't get it from me that's for sure!
I love the dancer shot you did. Great pose and lighting. Relative?

(21,484 posts)I love family pictures. This one seems to capture a little mischief on their faces -- is this correct?

(21,484 posts)This is Daddy (RIP) -- I don't know who the dog is, but Daddy clearly did not like him/her (I can't tell) . . .
And this is Petey. Petey will be eleven years old on 9/11. We were playing with a green feather toy on a stick, and this is the luckiest shot I've ever taken.

(34,136 posts)A photo of a colt we raised that went to Reserved World Champion, He was three months old in this shot and was fascinated by our dog. This photo won a prize of a year's worth of feed in the Purina Pet Photo Contest in about 1996.
This is a daughter of the colt in the previous picture with her filly in 2006. The mare is my favorite and the filly was selected by the owner of the stallion to compete in shows to advertise her stallion.
This picture was in one of the photo contests here a month or so ago. These young bluebirds spent ten or fifteen minutes having a good time in the bird bath and I got a whole series of pictures of them. I like this one best of the series.

(22,756 posts)of the daughter and her filly... (increases the ache in my soul for my farm) I can just feel the sweat on her back and the smell... ohh
so sweet
I used to bury my face in the cows flank when I milked them

(34,136 posts)Not only is she beautiful but she has a sweet personality. Here's a shot of her when she was a baby:
Even though I am still on my farm, I am missing being able to work with the horses. Now that I have two new knees maybe I can get back to working with the horses once I am recovered. It's been frustrating to see them out in the pasture and not be able to even lead one down the barn aisle!

(10,573 posts)But in late May, when this picture was taken, it runs cold, deep and clear. They open the floodgates at the Glenn Canyon Dam, and the river gets a good flushing out.
