Soundtrack of your life today?

If you could have a soundtrack play during your daily life, what would it be right now, today?

Mine is by Green Day, various selections from American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, with maybe a little bit of earlier stuff thrown in, because it's angry and loud and questioning and political and challenging of authority, and that's just how I feel right now. And because Billie Joe Armstrong sings Fuck a lot and I like that right now too (feeds into my loud and angry side).

And it's great music for cruising 10 over the speed limit. (OK, most people here do 15, so it's not quite as bad as it sounds)

Edited to add this too: Also, because the boys from Green Day are incredibly strong Dems -- they campaigned for Gore, for Kerry, and for Obama. Gotta love that!

In two weeks, it will be something different. I go in spurts musically.

1. Miles Davis - Kind of Blue....why?

Feeling kind of blue - pulled up most of my tomato plants, still waiting to see if I get a consulting gig, still waiting for the book contract to sign, both daughters having their struggles, wondering what's wrong with our country when an idiot like the Mittster has a ghost of chance, and when an ignoramus like Rush has such a big audience....just the dog days of summer, really.

But, like the music, it isn't all sad/blue stories - feeling really lucky in many, many ways. Got to work in my garden - just got done saving eggplant seeds. Taking my wife to a tomato dinner tonight, where I get to tell people the histories of what they are eating....

and I love jazz!

5. typical - they are done! always happens here - by early Aug - disease, critters, extreme weather

make them all go bye bye. It's OK - big harvest, lots canned, sauced, eaten - one of our best seasons ever!

6. Ah, it's Sweetcorn Depression!

That feeling I get every year when the sweet corn is all harvested and put up. Means fall is right around the corner. Bums me out.
