I was wrong to post that one about pictures from other countries. I am sorry. I didn't...

mean to offend anyone.
The wording was totally wrong......
... It should have read.."See the U.S.A. we got some great places to see.
....Sorry again.

Two east to west and two north to south. He was in education and thought it VERY important for us to see our own country, first, before we ventured off on our own. I have to say I really appreciate that, now.

We camped through tornados, floods, cattle stampedes and even a grizzly bear alert. One morning, in Montana, we awoke to frozen water. He said if we could get the camper ready to go, in 20 minutes, he'd take us to a restaurant for breakfast. We were ready to go in 10. He took us to a truck stop restaurant. I had blueberry pancakes.

I have great memories of staying up with Dad while he drove all night through the desert because the car had started heating up in the daytime scorching heat. Everyone else was asleep. I kept him supplied with coffee and conversation. He pointed out the star constellations to me.

Thank you for pointing my memories in such a wonderful direction, this morning.

while he was driving during the night. We made a trip from GA to CA before we had an air conditioned car. The heat made us miserable, but I do have wonderful memories of places we visited. We made several trips north that were very pleasant. My dad was in education also.
