(17,327 posts)Went to the movies today and saw George Clooney and Julia Roberts in Ticket to Paradise. Pretty funny and a nice way to spend a Friday afternoon after having been obsessed with the election. Feeling relieved that my sat at AZ is coming through.

One of my best friends from high school became a Trumpster and lives in Phoenix.
Breaks my heart a little. I want to ask him: What the hell happened to the sweet, funny guy I knew in school?

(22,270 posts)and they are on Peacock too. I had missed a couple of weeks because of election stuff.
The season opener was a triple header: Organized crime bled over into SVU then the courtroom drama on Law and Order.

I also watch a lot of You Tube. I can always recommend an evening with Trae Crowder if you can't find anything.
His new series "Puttin' On Airs" is hilarious!

(4,483 posts)Find the obscure channel that carries reruns of Perry Mason. Record them and save them for nights like this. Wonderful entertainment--women's breasts and men's shoulders compete for which are pointier--and you get to zap through the commercials for Shriner's Hospital. Be sure you set your DVR to "keep all" because there are ten million different episodes, and you won't want to miss a single one. The cars! The sports coats! The attempt to hide Perry's expanding belly by putting him in dark suits with oversized shoulders--he looks like a black refrigerator box! What's not to love?

(17,018 posts)I don't have cable any more (500 channels and nothing on) If I am at my daughter's early enough, I can still see Perry Mason reruns.
I remember reading an anecdote in the 1970s, about a young actor discussing line delivery with Raymond Burr. The younger actor said, "Mr. Mason, why do you breathe like that when you are acting?" And Mr. Burr replied, "To live." heheheh

I have gotten sucked in to the old westerns once or twice.
Takes me back to the 1950s and my childhood - Gunsmoke, The Rebel, Sugarfoot, The Rifleman, Paladin, Yancy Derringer, Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Wanted Dead or Alive and so many more there were about 100 of them from mid 50s to mid 60s.
