At not the highest volume, when my sleeping cat bolted up, and started staring around the room with the most concerned “wtf was that?” face ever. Took him a few minutes to decide there wasn’t actually a threat.

My last visit to the Vets office left everyone rubbing their ears after listening to a Husky pup.

I can see why you say Malamute but the body language looks more husky to me. Maybe a cross-breed?

11. The two are indeed very similar.

Other than the malamute being stockier, the biggest tipoff is the ears, as you can see from the images below. Husky ears are set closer together and point straight up. Malamute ears are farther apart and angle out a little more.

It's easiest to tell the difference when you're looking at the dog's face straight on, and the dog in the video is shown in profile, which makes it a lot harder. If I had to guess which it is, I'd say malamute, but I am far from certain.
