when you don't know cars (make, model, year); a funny tweeted commentary

I hate it when Americans include the year and model of a car in a story and you have to guess from context if it's a really good car or a really bad car.

"My husband showed up to our first date in a 1983 Chevrolet Anaconda."

"Haha, what a total loser or millionaire."

I've never heard of a Chevrolet "Anaconda". SergeStorms Nov 2022 #1
I don't think it existed, the heightened paradox of which is the point of its use here ;) (nt) Hugh_Lebowski Nov 2022 #3

Unless it was made for overseas markets exclusively, there's never been a GM "Anaconda".

I'm not interested enough to check the Twitter thread since I'm not a Twit, and I despise Musk.

b/c i have an old corolla

Toyota Corolla. The most boring car ever made, but if you manage not to smash it into a brick wall, it will continue to run approximately until the heat death of the universe.

my daughter & i are on twitter, we message back and forth a lot and she sent me that link. i replied to her: "FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS!"
