(14,061 posts)I called about a billing question the other day and had to go through a whole menu of options to get where I needed to be. Then I was told there would be a wait of upwards of 15 minutes. I said fuck it.
I hate dealing with anything medical anymore because its a pain in the ass. I miss the days when you could just pick up the damn phone, call your doc, and be done with it.

(16,334 posts)and the phone tree options didn't have anything to do with a referral. I tried to reach appointments but they said they didn't handle that. There was never an option to go back to the main menu so I had to call back a couple of time to reach a person (I selected billing and THEY answered right away, lol). They at least told me which 3 options to select when I called back at which point I was told to use the portal.
I ended up making an appointment myself with someone who did not need a referral.

It took forever to get through to an IVR . The website kept telling me I had a user ID but when I tried to update it with would not work. Continuous loop
