medicare advantage is not Medicare, but private insurance… so they are not limited to a time period, but can advertise 24/7/365

I get multiple calls a day from two places, ugh. I already re-upped with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan so they're barking up the wrong tree. I just let them go to voicemail. I have a great plan. Comprehensive at around $110/month with vision and dental. Doctor visits are $0 copay and medical/prescriptions have no deductible. The best part is that I get a $70/month rebate from the university I retired from, so I'm only paying around $40/month.

Those spots still run as tens of thousands of people turn 65 every month.
This time period is the window to make changes for those already on Medicare.
If someone turns 65 next month, the don't have to wait until next October.
So, there's still motivation for the private insurers to run these ads.
There should be fewer, but they aren't going away completely.
