that Snap-On tool chest system behind him is as big as I think it is...that thing is big bucks. Probably at least $30,000.

What a joke. It takes longer than that to unfreeze the door, remove the snow and ice from the windshields, and make the interior warm enough to tolerate.

Some of us don’t have usable garages and we live in the north. I’ll keep warming up my car when I need to.

The remote starter on my Outback installed by Subaru didn’t come with any warning to not warm up my engine. This video settles the issue for me.

It's faster to warm up the vehicle while driving it, at low speeds. (Just don't immediately drive at high RPM's when everything is still cold.) I live near the intersection of I-70 and I-75, but I'm "deep" in a residential area where I can creep along at low speeds until the car reaches normal operating temperature. Seems to work well for me. Sometimes I'll idle longer if the windows keep hazing-over from frost in this high-humidity area.
