2. I never watched the show when it was on

the first time. I decided to try it, since everyone loved it and that cast is to die for, and got so hooked that when I need to chill before sleeping I turn it on. It reminds me that government can work for us. Yes, I know it is not real but this is what we strive for. I cannot count the times I have fallen asleep while it was on and spent then whole next day trying to get that song out of my head!

3. One of, if not the, best and most important commercial fictional TV series in history

I watch the entire series every 2 years during the run ups to the elections. And not for it's liberal bias. Simply as a reminder that government for good or bad is human is only as good or bad as the the integrity, or lack there of, of those in it. Not to mention what should be a mandatory refresher in basic Civics which no longer exists in the mainstream except in this magnificent piece of work.
