I never remember my mom doing this evil, but I do fondly remember my mom serving my dad a big ole heaping of lime Jello with mayonnaise on top.

1. Peaches, pears, grapes, strawberries, blueberries etc, ...but never, ever...

...veggies!

(Also, I abhor green jello...it's strawberry jello for me!)

3. I make a jello salad with veggies.

It’s delicious with the Easter ham.

Lime jello with chopped celery, green onion, and red bell peppers.
So good!

it seemed like it was a staple in our house... fruit, vegetables, plain, etc, etc...

6. My high school cafeteria (1965-1969) used to put...

…canned peas (disgustingly mushy) and grated carrots in either lemon or lime jello - truly vile.

8. Mom had a couple of Jell-O recipes that were quite tasty, actually...

Grated carrots, raisins, finely chopped celery in orange Jell-O was one I remember
The other was whole-berry canned cranberry sauce, in raspberry Jell-O, and I think it had chopped walnuts and sour cream — she loved taking that places as a dessert

Not all those recipes were awful, but honestly I would never put leftover mixed veg in a lime gelatin — since I always hated those bags of Birdseye frozen mixed veg in the first place.

9. Lime jello with pineapple for me

Not sure how it'd be with veg?

I like the dessert ones where you mix the jello powder with cottage cheese and then add fruits. Lime with pineapple again my fave.

Never had a savory jello dish.
