I'm sure many ancillary businesses are hurt when the criminals they're servicing are arrested. Concrete sales and liquor distributors are probably greatly inconvenienced when mob bosses go down. That really isn't a reason for letting the criminals off the hook. But the Times is just so gosh-darn worried about the little people.
