Friday Night Gin Buzz. Ask me anything.

I’m enjoying a Boston Cocktail. Gin, apricot brandy, lemon juice, and a dash of grenadine.

I don’t have apricot brandy, so I improvised with some pear brandy and a bit of cognac.

Yum!

If a turning point in life occurs, and one enters a period of high productivity with 16 hour days, what are the obstacles to maintaining the momentum and adding additional duties as the upswing continues? Relapses, in other words, are to be guarded against.

When I was a kid, I loved the show because Ironside had the same name as me, Robert.

I also thought Ironside was a nickname, not a surname, because of his wheelchair.

My county used to grow 3/5 of the pears consumed in America. That was about 30 years ago before they tore out many of the orchards and planted wine grapes.

Tonight I'm finishing off the rest of the Egg Nog. I drink it hot with Bourbon.

A friend from South Africa liked to go there and drink pear brandy, because it reminded him of skewl days and sneaking pear brandy into school.
