(12,426 posts)There was another tenant in the house who had a large yellow cat that she would take for walks on a leash but I admit that's the only example I can think of.

(21,476 posts)I had one who fully accepted a harness and leash with no fuss. In fact, without a leash, he used to walk beside me as if there was an invisible leash on him, like a dog taught to heal. But I never taught him that. It's just the way he was. I only used the leash when in a place, like the vet's waiting room, where it was expected. But even there I often took it off and let the cat sit on my lap with no carrier or leash.
He was half Siamese and I've read that Siamese are like that.

(4,552 posts)We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it and stop there lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove lid again and that is well but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore.

Took me 6 months just to get him to take a treat from me.
YOU can try and put a leash on him; I ain't gonna.
