Love them but am limiting myself to one drink per week. Without this I would drink more then 10 per day.

(112,422 posts)I've had the occasional weird thought of stealing a Pepsi distributor's truck and putting it in hiding so that my addiction would be satisfied for a few years.
And no, I wouldn't really do that.
HoosierDebbie
(292 posts)I love it too much. Sometimes I swear I can feel it entering my bloodstream as I take a lengthy swig from a 16.9 oz bottle. Maybe that is how many feel about their first cup of coffee in the morning. I have actually never even tasted coffee, but I think it smells good. Instead of taking over a truck, I have wondered about having a soda fountain for Pepsi in my house.
TexasTowelie
(112,422 posts)I'll grab the truck and we can connect it to the soda fountain to keep the Pepsi cold.
I rarely drink coffee or tea so that puts my top three beverages as Pepsi, Purple Haze beer, and water.
At least I know that I'm not alone in my addiction. I'd suggest doing a twelve-step program, but I never could get past step #4.
HoosierDebbie
(292 posts)I think with a 12 step program you have to at least WANT to stop. When I visit family, they enable me by buying Pepsi just for me. I can survive without it, but I wouldn't call it living.

(13,886 posts)And not just because I happen to also prefer sparkling water with a bit of citrus.
Have you tried the TrueLemon, TrueOrange, etc. packets?
Ziggysmom
(3,412 posts)don't have any artificial flavoring or sweetener. It's just like having a slice of citrus fruits in your water. It works terrific with the SodaStream. 😋

(13,886 posts)They do contain a very small amount of sugar, though.
They list sugar as an ingredient, but also list the calories as 0. Items with less than 5 calories are allowed to be to be labeled as 0 calorie (in the U.S.).

(9,687 posts)Which is not really original taste since the original Coke had sugar instead of corn syrup in it.
If we are really going to talk original taste well back in 1920 Coke was supposed to have you know
