He conferred with his stockbroker who told him that it was a fad and not a serious stock to own.....oh well. He did eventually invest in EMC2 and did quite well.

grad school @ Drexel University where every incoming student received a free Mac.

I had trouble understanding a couple things….
I asked my sister - What’s an icon & What do they mean by choose from the menu ?

I will always remember coming across that note. 8k memory. That's 8,000 bytes, wow wow wow. (I don't know how many bits in a byte for early early Apple computers, and didn't know enough about computers back then to wonder about that).

I know it didn't have a hard disk. I forget if it had floppy disks, more likely it's long term storage was cassette tapes.

Mainly to learn BASIC. My wife got an IBM PC in 1985 with (2) 5-1/4 drives....one to load the programs, the other to write the data. And it had a modem!
