We have now entered week 4 of my 8 weeks off

I’m losing my mind and can’t wait to go back to work.

Just got the laundry out of the dryer and noticed there was only one pair of jeans and one ok-to-go-out-in-public tshirt. Aside from that, the whole load was pajamas and lounge wear (aka fancier, thicker pajama pants, some with a matching top).

I need some live human contact/interaction. Never thought I’d say that.

And I will say the first few days were ok, just sort of regular days off. I had made plans to do stuff around the house, clean and organize our basement, a few fiddly things here and there and I ended up knocking those out in no time.
I started to wonder what else I could do, wanted to make sure I had a good mix of leisure vs productivity.
Let me say we are raising our 5yr old granddaughter so that certainly adds to the day. She does go to daycare and also a pre-k, so there was the drop offs and pick ups that broke the day up.
But I will tell you as I settled in over the next week or so I was fine with it. Matter of fact, I loved it. I always had enough to do around the house to get a sense of accomplishment and still took time to relax and just breath!
I am no where near retirement and maybe it's because of the business I have been in for over 20 years, but I could retire tomorrow!
I have no qualms about that!
Let the younger kids take on all the stress, I'm done with it!
