My only gripe is it's very low..It might be difficult to get in and out of for this geezer..
I'll have to "test drive" the Ingress and egress to see if it works for me...

I like the looks better than the last generation. As one moto journalist phrased it
"the 2022 prius looked like a piece of tupperware left in a microwave for to long"
cracked me up!!

leg room, well built. Bought my Prius in 2017, loved the sleek look different than usual. I bought Fords all my life until after Hurricane Katrina. Toyota cars fit me better, and employees treated me like a queen.

2. Much Better Than The Original

I always thought the originals went out of their way to be functional, but unattractive.
This new version is pretty sharp.

3. Never.

I’ll never drive an electric car until:

1) Battery replacement is inexpensive, reliable, and readily available (see the saga of the Chevy Volt, etc.)

2) The cars are freely 3rd-party and user-serviceable.

3) Features can’t be turned on or off remotely based on how much you’re willing to pay.

4) Battery range is a minimum of 600 miles. Yes, I really do need that, as I regularly wind up doing road hauls of that long, or even twice that long. I’m not up for having to sit 30-60 minutes multiple times on what are already 6-22 hour drives.

5. The Prius is a hybrid, not an EV

So most of your conditions don’t apply.

My 2013 Prius is going strong after 178k km; dealer said the hybrid system, including battery, is in good shape.

A lot of the Big Three are made in Canada, Mexico, South Korea & Germany.

A lot of their parts are of off-shore origin.

Owner of a Chrysler T&C Minivan, (former Jeep, Chrysler 300, Chevy Suburban, Buick Century, Buick Grand National, Pontiac Grand Am and others) owner. I drive my cars until they drop. And the T&C was 2010 when Daimler still owned it. Had a top end rebuild at 36,005 miles, just outside of manufacturer's warranty, going into extended warranty (they both covered part of rebuild). Overall, it's been reliable. The Suburban is still owned and my Ex has it. A total POS. Jeep and 300 were good. Now, I have a couple of Subies and a Buick Regal Turbo.

I have a UAW sibling and they've been getting fucked over every year. The contracts are sent to the weakest union shops that come up for a vote and then the rest of the unions follow along with it. The union is in bed with the manufacturer and push to adopt the passage of contracts in votes at these locations, where the employees follow sheepishly with what the union steward says. My brother had wages and benefits drastically cut, hours cut, shifts fucked with, etc. He's been in the union since the mid 80s and hits wages cut so low they are now a few dollars above what a 3-year Starbucks Barista gets.

8. Utimately the FOREIGN OWNED companies

balance sheets reflect in their home countries as do our home owned companies.
Also I am a big Union supporter and NONE of the FOREIGN OWNED companies are American Union.
It baffles me that Union members buy non union foreign owned vehicles regardless of where they are built.
I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with 290,000 miles on it and still runs perfect.
Also own two Chevys with no issues.
Not downing other manufacturers just would rather support my unions.

At my brother's facility, it was unheard of to drive in with a foreign car when he started in the 80s.
The same thing at many construction sites, contractors would buy Big Three pickups and vans.

Then that changed, not that parking lot is mostly foreign cars.
At construction sites, Toyotas are all over the place.

A funny story: There was a guy who would repair our farm fence and one day he rolled up in a Toyota pickup. He would catch shit for driving a foreign vehicle and sometimes forced to leave. So, he put Ford emblems on the truck and no one questioned it anymore.
