I just wanted to thank all of you for the kind posts the other night.

My dog did pass away early the next day, very peaceful.

I buried her in the yard and planted a young tree next to her grave.

Funny thing happened, another dog came along the next day.

A person at the nursing home I visit had to give up her dog.

The dog is a older dog, and looks so much like my other dog.

The dog needed a home and I needed a dog.

Again many thanks for all the kind posts, they meant a lot to me.

The person at the nursing home is leaving to go home with her daughter in another state.

She can't take the dog so the dog needed a home.

I have seen the dog many times visting the nursing home.

A neighbor has been keeping the dog but the neighbor is up in age himself.

One door closes and another one opens.

I have always had a dog when possible, seem so strange not to have one.

She is 5 years old, and is a great dog.

Glad you and New Dog found one another. And that your old dog passed with you nearby.

I still miss her and always will.

She would have wanted to me to take in this new dog.

you could open your heart and home to a dog in need. It seems like you came into each other's life at the right timre.
