Everyone else on that show I didn't find particularly funny.

(34,189 posts)Same for "Seinfeld" - couldn't stand the show or any of the characters. Those two shows ruined sitcoms for me - I can't watch current sitcoms anymore. Now if I watch a sitcom, it will be a British one - like "The Detectorists" or something older.

(23,410 posts)or did something that was not a big deal but they spend the rest of the show trying to hide what they said so as not to offend the person
Oh and I am watching The Old Couple - the original and Jack Lemon is getting on my nerves because he has no concept of other people's wants and needs. He plays a real jerk. Thankfully the sitcoms of today are better than those.

(11,337 posts)I loved the Little House books so I had zero use for the bizarre TV series adulteration of them, but the little I did see of it, those two stood out as especially intolerable.

(4,125 posts)In a movie called "Dying Young," there's a scene where the characters are watching "Jeopardy," and when she laughs, I swear you could park a bus in her mouth. I had to rerun it just for the shock value. It's like she unhinged her jaw and just let it drop open. She could rent out that thing to a small family.

Wesley was supposed to be an annoying teenager, but the actor grew up to be an OK person.

(4,044 posts)I thought so for a while. Will Wheaten is a technologist who would show up on tech podcasts. He always seemed to be a good guest.
Of ST: Picard, I've only seen the first season. Will Wheaten provided commentaries. Listening to it was like listening to first-season Wesley. He was awful, trying to prove he was the biggest Picard fan. He sounded like a giddy teenager going to see Tailor Swift.
I say that ST:TNG was the greatest TV show that ever was, despite its many flaws.
I haven't yet seen Strange New Worlds, and really looking forward to it.

(24,906 posts)to be extremely annoying. I just don't get nerd humor. And it's too bad really, because it's a really well-written, funny show. Lots of good lines and jokes.
I found just about the entire cast of Barney Miller really great. I like every one of them, all for different reasons because they had such diverse personalities. One of the great ensemble casts of all time.
