Hi Everyone
Does anyone have a Reiki Practitioner they can recommend in the Dallas area? I want to gift a friend of my friend's who's been very helpful.
I'm in Texas working over the summer (I'll be back home in California in September). I know I can google it but I thought DU'ers might have some personnel recommendations.
Thank you!
(I'll also post this in the regional forum)

(6,804 posts)for the Dallas area. I can recommend Reiki, however. I was highly skeptical until recently. I had serious problems and Janna, a practitioner, showed up. I thought this is silly but I was willing to give it a shot. Can say it worked- dont ask me how? It totally relaxed me through my treatments along with a lady playing a harp. 🤗😊

I texted someone here in Dallas to see if they know of a local Practitioner.

I'm a certified Reflexologist. I have Reiki level 1 training. I've seen and experienced that hands-on healing does wonderful things (some of the people, most of the time; most of the people, some of the time).
I never made it past Reiki level 1, perhaps because my notions of belief stopped there.
I was able to do it when touching, but not when there was any separation.
But, if you are a believer, you might be able to have it done remotely by someone whose knowledge, beliefs, and training are greater than mine.
The word literally means universal love energy. ( "ki" = "chi" ) A lot of us just exude it naturally. My wife never had any training, but it's like an aura around her.

I'm looking for someone local. I've made a couple of calls.
I've always wanted to have Reflexology. Maybe I'll look for myself when I get back home to California. I'm also planning having some EMDR sessions.
