1. Best - Dolly Partons "Rock Star" CD

Old Man got it for Christmas. Lots of big names play and sing along. Dolly is a rock star

Kinda Gloomy - John Mellencamp “Orpheus Descending” CD. Although an incredible musician, John is rather on the sad side here.

Awesome - Jimmy Buffett “Equal Strain on all Parts” CD. Released after his death. Jimmy fresh till the end. Will be played at my post life Lie Fest.

Best movie: Oppenheimer
Best non-fiction book: Better Living Through Birding by Christian Cooper.
Runner up best non-fiction book: Leslie F*cking Jones by Leslie Jones.
Best streaming series: Wednesday

I haven’t read any fiction published in 2023. But the best fiction I did read was Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman. Love her writing.

4. Best: The new Star Trek

Worst: Fall. The movie is ridiculous. As a climber, myself, I felt embarrassed for their ineptitude.
Stupid script like >>> Woman starts to fall. Other woman catches her with one arm and grabs a large pole with the other hand.
Yeah right..put your hand around a 3 inch pole while catching a human being with the other.
You'll be very lucky to catch just yourself. Geezz
