... but the effect is more pronounced in raptors. Their heads are always level, no matter what kind of gyrations they perform in pursuit of their prey. And an owl's gaze is SO intense! Gotta love it.

Stepped out for a smoke on the balcony and the owl was perched there, looked at me, spread its wings and flew off, I swear the owls wingspan was at least 5 feet. I will never forget that night.
