(25,397 posts)1. I saw Steve Martin at the Great Southeast Music Hall in Atlanta .. late '60s most likely.
He was the opening act for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Loved him then .. loved him now.

He's an accomplished banjo player, it was great show!
Was he playing his banjo when you saw him back then too, or was he doing his stand-up act?

And now he often appears near me .. in Brevard, NC .. with The Steep Canyon Rangers.

When I was kid I about wore out his record album, but it was just comedy, not music.
