Enjoying a Beachcomber tonight. Never made one before. It's nice.

Rum, cherry brandy, Cointreau, grenadine, and lime juice. Very tropical.

Not the most sophisticated cocktail in the world. But pleasant to drink. And shouldn't that be the standard by which we judge a cocktail?

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice three-day weekend...

Wouldn't mind a fresh, citrusy something.

Only I don't have any.

I'll have to visit our local beverage superstore and pick some up. It's yummy.

JUST remembered my 'summer' drink: Vodka Gimlet!

(P.S., I drink very little, and recent years, even less!)

Just now trying to recall wherein I heard THIS: 'He's as scurvy a hunk of scum as I've ever seen!' Gilbert and Sullivan???

Usually sipped from an aperitif glass before dinner or in the late afternoon.

I can't imagine a bottle of limoncello last a whole decade.

I have a set of eight lovely aperitif glasses stored in their shipping box in a kitchen cupboard. I should have seven friends over for an aperitif!

You have inspired me to join you for a cocktail!
I'm having 3 parts okolehao (Hawaiian moonshine) 2 parts Naranja (Mexican orange liquor) and 1 part extra pulpy oj. A splash of cherry brandy would make it *chefs kiss*.

Aloha happy hour!

Seems like a drink that's just crying out for one of those.
