Got to visit the Hill this week...

Spent Thursday visiting legislator staffers to lobby for better access to healthcare for medically underserved patients.

Highlights: Ruben Gallego's staff was wonderful. Mark Kelly has his space suit in his office, complete with the head from the gorilla suit that Scott Kelly wore on the ISS under the helmet as well as a beautiful painting of a Native American with a moon in the background. His staff was also great. AOC's office door and wall is COVERED in post-it notes from supporters, (didn't get to visit her office sadly given I'm from AZ).

Lowlights: Biggs' Office with it's M72 Light Assault Weapon proudly displayed above the receptionist's desk

I always come away refreshed and ready to work after days with my healthcare colleagues on the Hill. This work for patient advocacy is an ongoing labor. Add on the work I'm doing for political campaigns and I'm a busy woman for the next 50 or so days!
