(18,219 posts)I wasn't sure if I was willing to tear my heart out every week.
This was particularly hard for me because I had an uncle die from pancreatic cancer in the 70's. At that time also, it was a death sentence with no hope as soon as it was diagnosed. I don't know if it is different today, but I vividly remembered how fast it took him.
But I have to say I was so impressed by the nuns' attitudes toward the brother and sister. Who would expect them to be so compassionate and accepting.
