This one brought tears to my eyes. It's amazing what a little love (and patience) can do.

The scared little dog reminded me of my cat, Holly, when I brought her home. She was absolutely terrified of me. It took a very long time for her to warm up to me, but she finally did. I always spoke very softly around her and I had to show her that I wasn't there to hurt her and that only good things happen when she came near me (treats, pets, scritches, etc.). Now we're good friends.
