(32,084 posts)My favorite is pesto with mozzarella and fresh basil, if available, tomatoes or some fresh spinach optional. The mozzarella doesn't have to be the fresh kind, and provolone is also quite acceptable.

(9,230 posts)If I had one, I would get some 100% whole wheat sub buns... and the crushed red pepper spread usually in the deli section... and an avocado sliced long ways... and some morning star fake bacon, then some banana peppers and munch away

(10,419 posts)Seriously, I'm noting all your recs and will blame you for my 400 pound weight gain over the next couple of weeks
Meanwhile, we bought buffalo mozzarella and goat cheese at Costco yesterday. (We are suckers for their demo stations). Oh, and multigrain tortillas (the samples were filled with mozzarella). Any suggestions for good combinations?

Have also done Cuban sandwiches, also various combos w/ turkey and/or ham plus cheese and interesting pestos or spreads.
