......family all despise them but I really enjoy them. I should blame my mother, a child of the Great Depression, who guilt tripped all of her kids into "eating everything" and "learning to like it".

Gawd those things are disgusting. I think whoever dreamed up the recent (current?) marketing fad with them was just trying to see how far they could take the joke. (They are the Trump of vegetables, actually.)

There are others I won't go out of my way for, but if someone serves them to me I'll eat them, vs. running screaming from the room.
