The phobia that, at the end of a face-to-face interaction, the other party will come at you with (and expect you to reciprocate) a cool handshake?
Every so often a well-meaning customer or acquaintance will deploy such a handshake, and I have to wonder what in my bearing or demeanor makes them think that Im equipped to return such a gesture.
Im many things, but cool I aint.

When you notice the other party approaching for a handshake, coat your hands immediately!

The allergic salute (sometimes called the nasal salute) is the characteristic and sometimes habitual gesture of wiping and/or rubbing the nose in an upwards or transverse manner with the fingers, palm, or back of the hand. It is termed a salute because the upward movement of the hand acts as an unintentional gesture.[1]
