do what ranchers do when they reach a certain weight/age/condition.

they will destroy infrastructure and if you are doing something labor intensive like hauling water to them, they will drink 3 times what they would if they had constant free access. running out of water is scary enough for the humane reasons, but thirsty bovines are a menace!
