I'm celebrating our nation's semiquincentennial by vacuuming for the first time in 250 years.

Maybe not, but it sure looks that way. I mean, I couldn't even find the vacuum cleaner at first.

I have a nifty portable one on which you can move the hose from one end to the other to know which way the wind blows. There are some tables and chairs I am not inclined to move today, so I'm blowing the dust from out behind them into a place where I can continue the job with an upright.

I feel so useful.
