Oh, I love just about all of Billy Joel's tunes.

He was referencing "Piano Man", which was about 7 minutes in the original form. And yes, the executives cut it to 3:05.

In my hometown in upstate NY. It was the early 70s, and he had a guitar player, bass, and drums. His repertoire that evening included "Captain Jack".

...definitely brings to mind a special lady whom I might've married if the gods hadn't decreed otherwise....... (long story, I won't bore anyone with it)
