(17,742 posts)Why waste good vodka, why not just use Isopropanol? It's very cheap.
For the toenails: does Scope also work? And what flavor? Does it matter?
And the sugar for hiccups: if it is the sweetness hitting the tongue that does the trick, why do you have to swallow the sugar?
For the duct tape and warts: does the color of tape matter? And do you leave it on when you shower?
Can you bite on a pen to cure a headache?
Do they have to be fresh tomatoes, or will canned tomatoes work too? What about tomato paste?
I need more details!

(41,986 posts)Has to do with vagal nerve stimulation. Where I work, we occasionally give it to patients with intractable hiccoughs--- it's better than the alternatives, one of which is a psychotropic drug. I've seen it work. Probably doesn't work for everybody every time though.

(46,416 posts)and reapplying the piece of tape provokes an inflammatory and immune response (eventually kills the virus), and because the wart is covered you're less likely to spread the virus to other areas. I've heard of this before.

(20,234 posts)They say leave it on for a week at a time, basically it seals the wart and it gets pruney like when you are waterlogged from a bath, but continues to get like that more and more until it's just dead skin.
