to eat. I've tried. He hates them. He finds pasta too exotic, (LOL), so I'm not surprised.

love the pirogies as described, but would add some bacon pan fried in with 'em as well. Don't eat cabbage rolls though, I progressively od'd on them as kid growing up in a Ukrainian/Russian household, (same thing with borscht).

on Christmas Eve my son and daughter-in-law make dinner, complete with fried fish and potato and cheese pierogi swimming in butter.

They make kapusta, too, which I don't really care for.

And there's always the yearly request for my home made chicken lo mein, and my daughter has asked me to make up a batch of my toffee brittle for dessert. It's so nice that they ask for their favorite foods from childhood.

Boil until ready, and then drop 'em into the skillet where the onions have been cooking and toast them along with the browning onions, add more butter, salt, pepper as needed.
