Yes, there is far more significant news these past few days, and it seems silly to complain about relatively minor personal matters, but I'm cranky and I need a few minutes break.
Last week my hard drive crashed. Still not repaired, though reportedly in the final stages of recovery.
I then bought a cheap laptop, only to find that my data wasn't quite 100% backed up. Mostly, but the reconstruction of data is a pain.
Oh, and my internet connection has been intermittent for the past month.
And then on the laptop I just bought - a Toshiba satellite - the trackpad failed.
Work is getting done, but I wouldn't call it productivity.
Kind of like a 21st century Kafka character. All I need now is a Facebook crisis and identify theft.
And there's the whole "world going to hell in a handbasket" thing.
