I am sitting here watching Oddities and eating summer sausage from my gift package from work.

2. I do like summer sausage on crackers and ice tea.

We get a nice gift package of food from work.

Summer sausage is a holiday favorite of mine.

6. I lieu of summer sausage, I have something else

I carved and grilled a steak from a standing rib roast yesterday (freezing the rest), and the leftover steak from dinner can be thin-sliced to make a nice treat with cheese and crackers or bread.

9. After big meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas snacking feels better.

I haven't had a whole meal since Christmas except for pizza.

3. Those sausages are GREAT companions for cubes of sharp cheddar or Colby cheese.

playing scrabble online. i'm waiting to hear from my husband so i can put dinner in the oven. we're having tri tip roast and veggies. i'm hungry.

7. I bought a roast for new years.

It was expensive.

Even with the Kroger's card knocking off five dollars.

We will eat it for several days.

12. This year has sucked so I am doing nothing really until after new years.

It is cold here so I can use the wood burning stove which is nice.

I don't even want to go out except to take a walk.

13. I love Oddities, solely for the presence of Edgar Oliver.

He is delicious. Watch his Youtubes sometime, or listen to him on The Moth. He's Peter Lorre and Edward Gorey and Edgar Alan Poe rolled into one mad little package.
